Privacy
Short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell your data, and you don't need an account to use the tool.
Last updated: June 20, 2026. Cardvocate ("we," "us") is an independent tool for TCG collectors. Questions? hello@cardvocate.cards.
What we collect
- Your email — only if you give it. If you enter your email to get into the beta or to receive set updates, it's stored with our email provider (Beehiiv) so we can let you in and send those updates. Unsubscribe anytime from any email.
- Feedback you send. If you submit feedback or the in-app survey, your answers — and the email you signed up with, if any — come to us so we can improve the tool and, if you ask, reply. We may use that email to follow up on your feedback; nothing else.
- Anonymous usage analytics. We use Google Analytics to see which sets and features get used, in aggregate (page views, button clicks). It helps us improve the tool. We don't use it to identify you.
- Advertising & conversion measurement. When we run ads (e.g. on Reddit), we use the advertiser's pixel to see whether an ad actually led to a signup — so we don't waste money on ads that don't work. It may set cookies, and where you've given us your email, share a hashed (scrambled, irreversible) copy of it with the ad platform to match conversions — never your raw email. Reddit's use of this data is governed by the Reddit Privacy Policy; you can limit personalized ads in your Reddit account settings.
- Bot protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, which is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms.
We don't ask for your name, address, or payment details, and the tool doesn't require an account.
What we don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your data.
- We don't collect more than we need, and we don't ask you to create an account to use the tool.
- We don't run third-party ad networks on the site or show you ads here.
Cookies
We set one essential cookie to remember you have beta access, so you're not asked again. Google Analytics, reCAPTCHA, and — when ads are running — the Reddit advertising pixel also set cookies to measure usage, block bots, and attribute ad conversions. You can block cookies in your browser; the public pages still work.
How long we keep it
We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed or have beta access. Unsubscribe or email us and we'll remove it. Feedback may be kept in aggregate to track what to build. Analytics data is retained per Google's defaults.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email using the link at the bottom of it.
- Access or delete the data tied to you — just email hello@cardvocate.cards and we'll handle it.
- Opt out of analytics with a browser extension like Google's Analytics Opt-out, or by blocking cookies.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (to access, correct, delete, or port your data). Email us and we'll honor them.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Children
Cardvocate isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us their email, email us and we'll delete it.
Where your data is processed
Our providers (Beehiiv, Google, Vercel, and — when ads run — Reddit) may process and store data in the United States and other countries. By using the site you understand your information may be handled there.
Affiliate links
Some "buy singles" links may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a commission if you buy — at no extra cost to you. It never changes our recommendation: we show the cheapest option regardless. See How it works.
If we add accounts
We don't offer accounts today. If we later add an optional account — for example, to save your collection so verdicts can be personalized to it — we'll update this policy first, and only collect what that feature needs (your email to sign in, and the cards you choose to save). It would always be opt-in; the core tool stays usable without it.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page as the product grows and revise the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be made clear on the site.
